Our fellowship was started in 1951 by Demos Shakarian, a California dairyman with a vision to reach men for the Lord. They first met in a Los Angeles restaurant for lunch where men were invited to hear a testimony of what Jesus had done in their lives and business.
50 year later our fellowship has grown to over 150 nations, with thousands of meetings each month throughout the world. Our Dayton Chapter was founded in 1964 by men with the same vision. In September of 2004 we will celebrate our 40th anniversary.
Please remember we are not a church, our members belong and are involved in many denominational churches throughout the Miami Valley. Our common bond is to offer our friends an opportunity to join us in a public place, where we can share a meal and be encouraged by the testimonies of a believer in Jesus Christ. Our charge is the same as Jesus said in Matthew 20 “Go and make disciples…..”.
